Tell me, fellow Britishers*: do your local traffic light people look like this? Bit weedy, isn't he?
* A world that only North Americans use. We never do. Similarly, the last time I heard a British person use the word "Bobby" when referring to a member of Her Majesty's Constabulary was ... well, never.

Ohh, but he's rather neat and tidy. I approve.
Well, I may be biased... but I thought he was pleasantly proportioned, in contrast to the other somewhat sturdier traffic light people.
Come to think of it I think I agree. He is rather 'neat', isn't he? I think he was designed in the 50s. I don't know why. I shall go and look it up.
His hands are a bit ..... good with colours? And I must protest, Hippernicus, I love using the word "Britishers", I use it all the time. Any word that was current in the 1940s is good with me! "Brits" sounds too short and choppy, I'd much rather be a Britisher than a Brit. Abster xx

I always thought you were using it in an ironic way.
I'd probably go straight to Cornish rather than Brit/Britisher/English if called to explain myself. Although I'm not a member of Mebyon Kernow or anything!
